Catch News

Happy New Year and a few other things…

Hello there everybody who’s reading this. This is our first post for 2006. We hope you all had a lovely Christmas break and went for at least one walk. Personally, I was hoping for a white Christmas… of course living in Wellington, anything’s possible – it ended up raining. I got a phone call from a friend who spent Christmas in Germany – she enjoyed a white snowy Christmas. Right up to the point where she slipped on some ice, fell over and got concussion. I’ve decided perhaps NZ summer Christmases aren’t so bad after all.

Catch decided to to close down for a few weeks. Not many people want to build websites over their holidays so I spent my time attempting to surf with my girlfriend’s dad in Whangamata. Cameron spent his time in Whitianga brushing up on his camp fire songs, Juliet edged closer to being a mum and Kylie flew south.

Cuba Street is a constant source of much amusement for us all. I never really knew it was “this” different to downtown Lambton Quay, but hey we’re not complaining. We’re loving it up here; the culture, the blanket dude and the guy who walks around with a rat on his shoulder make for interesting, random and fun times.

We’re looking forward to 2006. We’ve got a lot of work on and some really exciting projects ahead. We’ve just upgraded our website ever so slightly – you can now comment on our news entries. Why not say hi, let us know what you think and whether you you’re gonna be one of the first to buy a MacBook Pro.

Webstock 2006Oh yeah, while I remember, Webstock 2006 looks like it’ll be interesting. Let us know if you wanna shout Cam and I a ticket.

Cheers. Best of the season. Stay in school. Learn to say no and nobody puts baby in the corner.

Hamish (and Cam)
